HMPPS Small Grant Scheme - Digital Media Skills workshops

HM Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) Original Source

About This Opportunity

London Probation Region is offering a small grant of up to £15,000 to deliver a pilot digital media skills workshop for people on probation from the Southwark Probation Delivery Unit. The programme will provide participants with an introduction to and hands-on experience in digital media techniques, aiming to develop new digital and creative skills, support pathways into employment within the creative industries, and promote mental health and wellbeing through creative engagement. The pilot will focus on three key objectives: skills development, desistance support, and creative expression. The digital media skills programme will be delivered to up to ten service users from Southwark Probation Office through a series of interactive workshops designed to combine group learning with individual support. Sessions should be structured to balance technical instruction with creative exploration, covering key areas such as storytelling, production techniques, and editing. Participants should leave the completed course with a developed product or project which could form part of a personal portfolio to support future employment opportunities, and a tailored plan for further career development. The project will run for approximately 3 months in the first half of 2026.
