Honorable Justice Cecilia Johnstone Equality Award

Awarded to a student with satisfactory academic standing convocating from the JD degree program who has made an outstanding contribution to social equality in the community or at Law School. Recipient will have demonstrated a passion for fairness, compassion for those in need, and a proven commitment of excellence and leadership in equality issues. Recipient will also have explained how he or she will seek to strengthen equality in the future. Consideration will be given to any special efforts an applicant may have demonstrated in overcoming obstacles, financial or otherwise. This endowed award was established by family, friends and colleagues of Madam Justice Cecilia Johnstone to honor her legacy of commitment to social justice and equality.
