About this opportunity
This scholarship is awarded annually to students with superior academic achievement entering the first year of the Bachelor of Science in Agriculture or the Bachelor of Science in Animal Health degree program in the Faculty of Agricultural, Life and Environmental Sciences at the University of Alberta. Recipients are chosen on the basis of leadership qualities as demonstrated by involvement in extra-curricular and community activities and academic standing. The scholarship is renewable for the second year, contingent upon the recipient achieving a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a minimum 24 credits over the most recent September to April period (30 credits total) in the Bachelor of Science in Agriculture degree program. The award was established through endowed funds from the Estate of Muriel Beatrice Lynch-Staunton in memory of her husband, the Honourable Francis Charles Lynch-Staunton.
