Hook-A-Hero: Family First, Future Strong Scholarship

The Hook-A-Hero: Family First, Future Strong Scholarship was created to support the next generation of first responder families. Founded in 2026, this scholarship helps children of current or retired first responders pursue their post-secondary education with confidence. Rooted in Hook-A-Hero's mission of care, community, and support, the scholarship honors the dedication and sacrifice of those who serve and protect. By investing in their children's futures, Hook-A-Hero continues its commitment to strengthening families and building brighter paths for the heroes who stand behind the badge. The scholarship is open to high school seniors in Hillsborough County who are children or stepchildren of active or retired first responders in law enforcement or fire rescue. Applicants must maintain good academic and behavior standing with a minimum 3.0 unweighted GPA and have completed at least 50 hours of community service.
