Hope and Ian McLaren Cook, Sr. Scholarship

The Hope and Ian McLaren Cook, Sr. Scholarship is offered annually to an undergraduate student in the Faculty of Law, JD program at the University of Calgary. The scholarship recognizes academic merit and is awarded to the student with the highest academic standing in LAW 571 - Oil and Gas Law. This scholarship honors Ian McLaren Cook, a prominent Alberta geologist and leader in the Canadian oil industry who was dedicated to ensuring quality and information access to his colleagues in the field of geology. The award provides financial support up to $7,500 to one deserving law student each year who demonstrates excellence in the study of oil and gas law.
