Horizon Fund - Employability Award

The Horizon Fund - Employability Award was created in 2013 to help actualise the dreams of students and to breakdown any financial barriers they may face. The fund receives donations from generous supporters of the University who believe in transforming lives and creating better futures. The award recognizes that university education extends beyond lectures and degrees to include valuable experiences, trips, networking, industry connections, and extra elements that enhance student employability. The fund provides financial support for employability-enhancing opportunities that students might otherwise be unable to afford due to financial constraints. Examples of support include funding for once-in-a-lifetime opportunities, travel costs for job interviews, professional attire for interviews, and publishing costs for books or papers. Successful applicants are required to provide post-evaluation write-ups of their experience along with images, video, or other visual representations showing the impact of the award.
