About this opportunity
The Horner Exhibition Scholarship was established in 1889 from a bequest by Francis Horner and is awarded to undergraduate students commencing study at the University of Sydney on the basis of proficiency in mathematics. The scholarship is valued at $1,000 and is tenable for one year only. It is awarded to recent school leavers who have achieved the highest marks in NSW HSC Mathematics Extension 1 and Mathematics Extension 2 in the previous year and who are enrolled in at least 6 credit points of mathematics and statistics units during their first year of study. No application is required, as this scholarship is awarded automatically based on HSC results and university enrolment, with recipients informed by email. The scholarship amount is paid in two equal instalments after the census date of each semester.
