About this opportunity
The Household Economics Class of 1949 Scholarship is awarded annually to a full-time student with superior academic achievement who has expressed an interest in the nutritional welfare of humans. The scholarship is designated for students entering the second year of studies in the BSc Nutrition and Food Science degree program, majoring in Nutrition and Food or Nutrition.
Recipients are selected on the basis of academic standing on a minimum of 24 credits over the most recent September to April period, as determined by the Faculty of Agricultural, Life and Environmental Sciences at the University of Alberta. In the event that no qualified candidate can be found entering the second year, the scholarship may be awarded to students entering third or fourth year of the program.
This scholarship is funded by endowed funds contributed by members of the Household Economics Class of 1949 at the University of Alberta. Students are automatically considered based on their completed General Application.
