About this opportunity

The Housing Support Fund is provided by the University of Strathclyde to address urgent student housing needs. If you are a current student threatened with homelessness owing to financial hardship, wellbeing reasons or other circumstances beyond your control, you should apply for help. The fund is designed to make a significant contribution to your ability to continue your studies successfully by addressing urgent housing needs that cannot be met through existing funding. Awards are typically around £300-£500 and are intended to meet immediate short-term housing needs. Because of this, the fund cannot be used to replace a regular income. Awards will normally be made in the form of a grant and are judged on a case-by-case basis. Registered students must demonstrate that they have an urgent housing need, are unable to meet the immediate costs through existing funding, and that a payment would significantly help them continue their studies.
