Houston Memorial Scholarship

The Mike Houston Award supports the research pursuits of an HNFE (Human Nutrition, Foods and Exercise) Graduate Teaching Assistant who demonstrates a passion for teaching and excitement for learning. This scholarship is designed to recognize and support graduate students who excel in both research and teaching responsibilities within the HNFE department at Virginia Tech. The award acknowledges the dual commitment required of graduate teaching assistants to advance their research while maintaining excellence in their teaching duties. Recipients are selected based on their research achievements, teaching philosophy and contributions, and professional development goals.
