About this opportunity
The Hugh and Deirdre Thompson Award is an entrance bursary valued at approximately $1,000, provided every other year to a full-time undergraduate student enrolling in Year One of Architecture Studies in the School of Architecture at the University of Waterloo. The award is specifically for students from Cambridge, Ontario. Selection is based on academic performance, the admission interview, and portfolio review, with preference given to students with demonstrated financial need. Established with the Waterloo Region Community Foundation through a gift from Hugh and Deirdre Thompson, this award supports incoming architecture students as they begin their studies. Interested students are encouraged to complete the University of Waterloo Entrance Bursary Application by April 15. Access to the application form is limited to Ontario students who will be studying on a full-time basis and who are applying to post-secondary studies for the first time.
