Hugh MacDiarmid Memorial Bursaries

The Hugh MacDiarmid Memorial Bursaries are open to New Zealand-born Bachelor of Veterinary Science students who are experiencing financial hardship. The bursaries are awarded in the final year of study at Massey University. Hugh MacDiarmid was a veterinarian who dedicated his life to treating and caring for animals. In 2013 Hugh's sister established the Hugh MacDiarmid Memorial Bursary Fund in memory of her brother. These undergraduate bursaries support students enrolled in the Bachelor of Veterinary Science in their final year of study. Selection is based on academic merit and current financial need, with applicants required to demonstrate their financial circumstances through a detailed annual budget.
