Hulick Scholarship for Leadership, Friendship, and Service

The Hulick Scholarship for Leadership, Friendship, and Service is awarded to third-year undergraduate (junior) students in the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences at Virginia Tech. This scholarship recognizes students who demonstrate extraordinary characteristics of leadership, friendship, and service to campus, community, and humanity. Preference is given to students based on their leadership activities, service contributions, and friendships that have positively impacted their communities. Academic achievement and financial need are also considered in the selection process. The scholarship supports students who have made meaningful contributions to both the Virginia Tech campus and the broader community beyond the university. Applicants must be current sophomore students who will be entering their junior year during the 2026-2027 academic year. The application requires a 600-word essay addressing the student's experience in leadership, friendship, and service, along with supporting documentation including a letter of support, transcript, and resume demonstrating involvement in campus activities and community service.
