About this opportunity
The Humanitarian Scholarship for Displaced Palestinians supports access to study at Postgraduate Diploma and Masters level courses except the MBA and PGDE for Palestinian students who are facing financial and additional access barriers to study at this level. Before applying, candidates must have submitted an application for admission to a Postgraduate Taught course at the University and been accepted. The scholarship aims to support Palestinian students who hold Palestinian ID/travel documents and are classified as 'Overseas' for fees purposes.
Successful applicants will be offered an award for one year covering travel, tuition, accommodation, and a cost-of-living stipend. Priority is given to those who do not currently hold a Masters degree or have never studied outside Palestine. The scholarship is available for full-time postgraduate taught courses across a wide range of subjects at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow.
Applicants are selected by a Scholarship Panel based on three criteria: how the proposed course enhances career aspirations, the direct impact of the scholarship on the ability to take up the course, and the potential for successful completion and commitment to the chosen field of study. Two scholarships are available annually.
