About this opportunity
The Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences at the University of Strathclyde is delighted to offer a number of £2,000 Dean's Excellence scholarships to RUK (Rest of UK) students paying Rest of UK tuition fees for undergraduate programs commencing in September 2026. The scholarships will be awarded on merit, rather than financial need, to candidates who demonstrate in their UCAS application potential to succeed in their chosen programme.
This may include academic performance (current and/or previously gained) where grades may be available, or academic references where non-standard qualifications are being taken, responses to UCAS application form questions and any relevant extra-curricular personal development or experience. All eligible RUK UCAS offer holders will automatically be considered for an award following the 14 January 2026 UCAS deadline, therefore no separate scholarship application is required.
The scholarship is open to self-funded, RUK fee-paying applicants enrolling on full-time undergraduate courses in subjects including Education, English, History, International relations, Journalism, Languages, Law, Politics, Psychology, Social policy, Social work, and Speech & language therapy. The award helps with tuition fees and has a duration of one year. Scholarship recipients will be expected to engage with student ambassador activities during their course of study, such as supporting student recruitment activities and events.
Please note the following programmes are excluded from this scholarship: all PGDE programmes, MSW Social Work, LLB Law (Graduate Entry) and Professional Diploma in Legal Practice.
