Huy Tien Vu Scholarship

The Huy Tien Vu Scholarship was established in 2022 in memory of Huy Vu who was well-known and valued member of the university community for over two decades. Huy, who arrived in New Zealand as a refugee from Vietnam, dedicated his career to support international students and fostering an inclusive, welcoming environment. This scholarship reflects his commitment to education and community providing support to exceptional students. The scholarship provides support to extraordinary international students or students from an international refugee background immersed in the University community and studying in year three or above towards an undergraduate degree in the Waikato Management School.
