About this opportunity
The HVP Plantations Forestry Grant supports undergraduate domestic students with a bona fide interest in developing a career in forestry and plantation management. The award is available to current ANU students who are enrolled in Bachelor of Environment and Sustainability, Bachelor of Environment and Sustainability (Advanced) (Honours), Bachelor of Science, or Bachelor of Science (Advanced) (Honours) programs and have completed a minimum of 72 units of studies in their program. The recipients of the HVP Plantations Forestry Grant gain industry recognition, financial award and opportunity to work within the sector via summer internships. The Forestry sector requires a broad range of graduate skills and knowledge, and this grant aims to support students who might overlook employment opportunities in this field. The grant provides a one-off cash award of $5,000 at the beginning of the third year of study, with four awards available annually.

Selection is made by a committee chaired by the Director of the Fenner School of Environment & Society, based on eligibility criteria, academic merit and the quality of responses outlining the applicant's interest in a career in forestry and plantation management.
