About this opportunity
The Hydrophobin Research Scholarship has been established to support high-performing Honours students undertaking experimental research on hydrophobins or hydrophobin proteins during summer 2025-2026 at the University of Sydney, under the supervision of Associate Professor Ann Kwan. This honours scholarship is designed for students who are currently enrolled in a full-time Bachelor of Science Honours degree within the Faculty of Science at the University of Sydney.
The scholarship is awarded based on academic merit as demonstrated through transcripts and experience in wet or wet and dry laboratory work. Preference is given to students who demonstrate previous wet and dry lab experience in a research environment. The scholarship provides financial support to enable students to conduct experimental research during the summer period.
The scholarship is valued at up to $5,000 and is payable as a one-off payment upon receipt of the scholarship acceptance form. It is not deferrable, not transferable to another area of research, university school, faculty or university, and is subject to the availability of funds. Recipients must maintain satisfactory research performance and conduct research according to the agreed schedule.
