I. Roberta Bell Minority Scholarship

The I. Roberta Bell Minority Scholarship is awarded to high-achieving minority students at Eastern Illinois University. Recipients must be minority students who have enhanced the dignity of minority culture through demonstrated academic achievement and excellence. A unique feature of this scholarship is the mentorship component - recipients are required to consistently interact with an assigned I. Roberta Bell minority mentor throughout their entire educational experience at Eastern Illinois University. The scholarship requires an essay detailing how the applicant has enhanced the dignity of minority culture through academic achievement and excellence. The award is announced in Spring (April) and awarded the following fall semester.
