About This Opportunity

The Ian Adams Van Heyde Memorial Culinary Scholarship honors the memory of Ian Adams Van Heyde, who was the first high school student to work on the line at Cameron Mitchell Restaurant – Martini's. This work experience, together with the encouragement given to Ian to pursue his culinary dream, had a profound positive influence on him. This scholarship is awarded annually by Ian's parents to show their appreciation for the opportunity and support given to their son by Cameron Mitchell Restaurants, and to recognize the contributions of Cameron Mitchell to the Columbus community and the restaurant industry. The scholarship supports students pursuing culinary education at Columbus State Community College. The scholarship is available to students attending Columbus State Community College who are pursuing a degree or certificate in culinary, baking & pastry, and/or restaurant food service management. Candidates must be in good academic standing and exhibit a strong spirit of hospitality and service to the college and the community. The minimum award amount is $1,500.
