Ian F. Cameron Scholarship at the Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC)

The Ian F. Cameron Scholarship at the Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC) is granted to a student normally resident in the Maritime provinces entering the DVM program at AVC who completed their pre-veterinary medicine education at the Dalhousie University Faculty of Agriculture or Mt. Allison University, and has demonstrated a genuine intention to pursue a career in a large-animal veterinary practice. In the absence of such a student, the scholarship can be granted to students normally resident in the Maritimes entering the Atlantic Veterinary College from a similar faculty at a Nova Scotia university. If funding is available, this scholarship is renewable for the remaining three years provided that the student, in the sole opinion of the Dean of AVC, continues to demonstrate an interest in working in a large-animal veterinary medicine practice. This award supports students committed to serving large-animal veterinary needs in the Maritime region.
