About This Opportunity

The IEEE PES Scholarship Plus Initiative provides scholarships and real-world experience to undergraduate students who are interested in power and energy engineering careers. The program aims to attract highly qualified students to the field who will one day develop new green technologies, build the smart grid, and change the way we generate and utilize power. The initiative supports promising students through financial assistance in the increasingly expensive enterprise of undergraduate studies. Selected students receive up to US$10,000 toward educational expenses, networking opportunities with industry professionals, and direct connections to power and energy companies and internships. Eligible applicants must be full-time undergraduate students with a minimum GPA of 3.0, pursuing a degree in an IEEE designated field (including Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physical Sciences), attending an ABET-accredited university or college in the U.S., Puerto Rico, or Canada, and must have completed or planned completion of at least 3 courses (9 credits) related to power and energy.
