IEEE PES Scholarship Plus Initiative
About This Opportunity
The PES Scholarship Plus Initiative provides scholarships and real world experience to undergraduates who are interested in power and energy engineering careers. The program aims to attract highly qualified students to the field by providing financial assistance for undergraduate studies. These students are the individuals who will develop new green technologies, build the smart grid, and change the way we generate and utilize power. For 2025, the program has expanded eligibility beyond engineering to include Computer Science, Physical Sciences, Mathematics, and even Law and Policy related to the energy sector. The total financial award for each PES Scholar has been increased to $10,000 over a three year period. Eligible fields of study include Engineering, Computer Science & Information Technology, Physical Sciences, Biological & Medical Sciences, Mathematics, and Technical Communications, Education, Management, or Law & Policy. While applicants do not need to be IEEE or PES Members to apply, they must have an IEEE Web Account.
