About this opportunity
The Illinois Monetary Award Program (MAP) is a state-funded need-based grant program for Illinois residents pursuing undergraduate education. The program provides up to $8,400 per academic year to eligible students with demonstrated financial need as defined by the state formula. Students must file the FAFSA as soon as possible after October 1, with priority awarding consideration given to returning students who file by December 1. Non-citizen students who meet RISE Act criteria may use the Alternative Application for Illinois Financial Aid in lieu of the FAFSA. The program is administered by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) and requires proof of Illinois residency documentation.
