Ilona Takacs Scholarship

The Ilona Takacs Scholarship is a foundation scholarship offered by Federation University Australia in partnership with Soroptimist International. This scholarship honors Ilona Takacs, a life member of the Ballarat Soroptimist club who served as President four times, regional President twice, and on the International Board. She was also a dedicated teacher of mathematics and physics. The scholarship supports women students undertaking undergraduate or honours studies in Science, Engineering, or Information Technology at Federation University's Ballarat campus. Soroptimist International is a service club for professional women that aims at advancing women all over the world and inspiring them to achieve their best. This $1,500 scholarship is available to one student per year who identifies as a woman/female and is residing in Ballarat or regional Western Victoria. The scholarship is open to both domestic and international new/commencing students at the bachelor or honours level.
