About this opportunity
The Illinois Space Grant Consortium (ILSGC) awards scholarships to outstanding undergraduate students pursuing degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) disciplines that support NASA's mission. A total of up to 18 scholarships of $3,000 each are available for the 2026-2027 academic year. Students must be enrolled at least half-time at one of the ILSGC affiliate institutions in Illinois during both Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters. The scholarship supports students whose academic interests and career goals align with NASA's mission areas including space exploration, Earth science, aeronautics, and technology innovation. Recipients may receive this award a maximum of two times during their undergraduate degree program. The application requires a current resume, college transcript, and a 1-2 page Statement of Interest describing the applicant's STEM involvement, academic and professional goals, and connection to NASA's mission areas.
