About This Opportunity

The Imperial College London and China Scholarship Council (CSC) joint scholarship program supports outstanding Chinese PhD students to pursue doctoral research at Imperial College London. This prestigious scholarship is open to Chinese nationals holding a PR Chinese passport who demonstrate strong academic backgrounds. The program offers comprehensive financial support covering overseas tuition fees, a maintenance allowance equivalent to the UKRI London rate, and return travel to China. The scholarship typically supports three years of PhD study, or four years in cases where a one-year postgraduate degree is required prior to beginning the PhD. For students already in their first year of PhD study at Imperial, the scholarship supports two years. Successful applicants are required to return to China for a period of two years after completing their PhD. Up to 15 scholarships are available for the 2024/2025 academic year across all Imperial College London departments including Engineering, Medicine, Natural Sciences, and Business School.
