In-Country/In Region Scholarships Programme at IITD (Scholarship for Master's Studies)

The DAAD In-Country/In Region Scholarships Programme at IIT Delhi aims at fostering strong, internationally oriented higher education systems in South Asia with the capacity to contribute to sustainable development. The programme grants scholarships for development-related Master studies at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi for individuals from Bhutan, Bangladesh, Nepal, or Sri Lanka who plan to pursue a career in teaching and/or research. The scholarships support studies in subject areas with strong relevance to national development, specifically in MTech in Atmospheric and Oceanic Science and Technology. Female applicants and candidates from less privileged regions or groups are especially encouraged to participate. The scholarship covers the duration of the standard period of study for the chosen programme up to a maximum of 24 months and includes a monthly scholarship, travel allowance, printing allowance, study and research allowance, and tuition fees.
