About this opportunity

The programme aims at fostering strong, internationally oriented higher education systems in Jordan with the capacity to contribute to sustainable development. Scholarships are granted for development-related Master studies for individuals who plan to pursue a career in teaching and/or research at a higher education institution in the Middle East. By training future academic and professional leaders, the programme contributes to qualified professionals' involvement in the solution of development-related problems, graduates strengthening education and research in the Middle East, and structural strengthening and regional networking of partner institutions. As part of the In-Country/In-Region Scholarship Programme, DAAD offers scholarships for Master studies funded by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), targeting university staff primarily, without neglecting the public sector demand of academically trained personnel. The target group are graduates from Yemen with a first academic degree who want to pursue a Master's programme at selected Jordanian universities.
