About this opportunity
The Inder Kaur Scholarship provides financial support for women enrolled full-time in a bachelor's degree at RMIT University who can demonstrate circumstances which impact their study. This scholarship honours Inder Kaur, who became a refugee after the partition of India in 1947 and later graduated with a Masters degree at age 47, becoming the Founding Principal of three women's colleges in Punjab, India. The scholarship recognizes her initiative, daring and persistence in following her dream of education. Preference is given to current or former refugees, or the child of a past refugee. The scholarship provides up to $7,000 per year for the standard duration of the program to help students overcome challenges and achieve their educational goals.
