About this opportunity

The Indigenous Australians Leading in Business MBA Scholarship is a tuition fee scholarship designed to support Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander persons enrolled in the Master of Business Administration at the University of Sydney. The scholarship covers tuition fees for up to four years of part-time study. The University of Sydney Business School established this scholarship in 2023 to address the under-representation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in senior leadership positions. The program aims to accelerate the rate at which Indigenous Australians move into senior leadership roles within all forms of Australian enterprises. Recipients are selected based on eligibility for the MBA program, academic merit, curriculum vitae, supporting documents confirming Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander identity, and a personal statement demonstrating leadership experience and potential, commitment to advancing the wellbeing and rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and a vision for how the MBA will contribute to positive change. Shortlisted applicants are required to attend an interview with a selection committee. To maintain the scholarship, recipients must maintain a minimum Semester Average Mark of 65 each semester and maintain continuous part-time enrollment with a minimum of 18 credit points of study per year. Recipients may be invited to represent the University of Sydney Business School at University and corporate networking events.
