About This Opportunity

The Indigenous Careers Award supports Red Deer Polytechnic students who identify as Status Indian/First Nations, Non-Status Indian/First Nations, Metis, or Inuit. This award is designed to provide financial assistance to full-time students enrolled in certificate, diploma, applied degree, or bachelor's degree programs at Red Deer Polytechnic. The award recognizes Indigenous students who are Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or protected persons and who meet Alberta residency requirements. With 32 awards available at $2,000 each, this program aims to support Indigenous students in their educational pursuits. Applications open in September for the Fall run and in January for the Winter run. GPA may be considered as part of the selection criteria.
