About this opportunity
The Indigenous Careers Award is funded by the Government of Alberta and is intended to encourage Indigenous peoples (First Nations, Metis and Inuit) living in Alberta to pursue and complete post-secondary studies in certificate, diploma, applied degree and bachelor's degree programs. Available to NAIT students who are Status Indian/First Nations, Non-Status Indian/First Nations, Metis, or Inuit and are able to provide proof of Indigenous ancestry. Applicants must be Canadian Citizens, Permanent Residents, or Protected Persons of Canada who are Alberta residents. Students must be enrolled in the Fall semester in a certificate, diploma, applied degree, or bachelor's degree program in at least 60% of a full course load (40% if you are a student with a documented, permanent disability) and achieving satisfactory academic standing. Selection will be based on demonstrated financial need.
