About this opportunity
The Indigenous Careers Award - Winter is a scholarship program for Indigenous students enrolled at Red Deer Polytechnic. The program provides 28 awards of $2,000 each to support Indigenous students pursuing full-time studies in certificate, diploma, applied degree, or bachelor's degree programs. Students must be Status Indian/First Nations, Non-Status Indian/First Nations, Metis, or Inuit and provide proof of Indigenous ancestry. The award is intended to support Indigenous students who are Canadian Citizens, Permanent Residents, or Protected Persons in Canada, and who meet Alberta residency requirements. GPA may be considered in the selection criteria. Applications open in December for the Winter run of this award, and students are automatically considered based on their completed General Application through the scholarship portal.
