Indigenous Careers Award - Winter

The Indigenous Careers Award is funded by the Government of Alberta and is intended to encourage Indigenous peoples (First Nations, Metis and Inuit) living in Alberta to pursue and complete post-secondary studies in certificate, diploma, applied degree and bachelor's degree programs. Available to NAIT students who are Status Indian/First Nations, Non-Status Indian/First Nations, Metis, or Inuit and are able to provide proof of Indigenous ancestry. Applicants must be Canadian Citizens, Permanent Residents, or Protected Persons of Canada, and must be Alberta residents enrolled in the Fall semester in at least 60% of a full course load (40% if they are a student with a documented, permanent disability). Students must be achieving satisfactory academic standing. Selection will be based on demonstrated financial need.
