About this opportunity
The Indigenous Commonwealth Accommodation Scholarship (ICAS) is designed to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students who are relocating from rural or regional areas to study at RMIT University in Melbourne. This scholarship provides financial assistance to help with accommodation costs for eligible Indigenous students pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degrees. The scholarship provides up to $7,000 per year for full-time students and $3,500 per year for part-time students, paid in semester installments throughout the standard duration of their program. Preference is given to students who demonstrate financial hardship and who have relocated from rural or regional areas. Recipients must maintain satisfactory academic performance, engage with the Indigenous Tutorial Assistance Scheme, and participate in cultural activities through the Ngarara Willim Centre for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples. The scholarship aims to reduce financial barriers for Indigenous students and support their successful completion of tertiary education at RMIT.
