About this opportunity

The Commonwealth of Australia provides funds under the Indigenous Student Success Program to improve higher education access, encourage Indigenous people to undertake an undergraduate course or an approved postgraduate course at The University of Western Australia and increase higher education participation and success for Indigenous people. This scholarship is designed to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students experiencing financial hardship who are pursuing undergraduate or approved postgraduate studies. The scholarship provides approximately $12,000 in total support over 3 years to help cover education costs. With 50 scholarships offered, this program aims to reduce financial barriers and support Indigenous students throughout their higher education journey. Selection is based on academic achievement (ATAR or equivalent) and educational disadvantage including factors such as distance, economic disadvantage, cultural differences, disability, ongoing medical conditions, or caregiving responsibilities.
