About This Opportunity
This scholarship is for Māori, Pasifika or women students majoring in Electrical and Electronic Engineering in the Bachelor of Engineering with an intention to choose courses related to Renewable Energy Systems Engineering in their third and fourth years. The scholarship is open to school leavers or first year students at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. The awardee will receive a stipend of $6,000 per year for three years of study, conditional on an intention to choose courses related to Renewable Energy Systems Engineering in their third and fourth years. The awardee shall also receive a paid summer placement with Infratec at the end of the third year they receive the scholarship to be arranged directly with Infratec. This scholarship is co-funded by Victoria University of Wellington and Infratec, a leading renewable energy company delivering innovative renewable energy solutions. The scholarship was established to support Māori, Pasifika and women students to choose a career in the renewable energy sector by providing financial support to students majoring in Electrical and Electronic Engineering in the Bachelor of Engineering with Honours programme.
