Innovation Grants - Programme Two: Community Led Innovation

Shetland Charitable Trust Original Source

About This Opportunity

Innovation grants are being offered to communities and organisations to help them experiment, be given the space to think differently and try new ideas. The Shetland Charitable Trust offers one-off innovation grants to a maximum of £3,000 per applicant to support local initiatives driven by and responsive to the needs of the community. The grant can cover costs associated with activities or necessary equipment for implementing innovative initiatives. Innovation is defined as the practical implementation of ideas that result in the introduction of new outputs, activities, services, etc. that are relative to the applicant organisation. While the ideas don't have to be entirely new, the approach should demonstrate innovation. The initiative must aim to make a difference in one or more of the Trust's Quality of Life goals, which include enabling strong and resilient organisations, community wellbeing, individual wellbeing, supporting those facing crisis or disadvantage, and generational fairness.
