International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship

The International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship (formerly known as the Confucius Institute Scholarship) is offered by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC) to support students and Chinese language teachers for study of International Chinese Education and related majors at Chinese universities. The scholarship covers various program types including Doctor's Degree (DTCSOL), Master's Degree (MTCSOL), Bachelor's Degree (BTCSOL), One-Academic-Year Study, One-Semester Study, and Four-Week Study programs. The scholarship aims to satisfy the growing demand for Chinese language teachers and facilitate Chinese language education internationally. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good physical and mental condition with good academic performance. They must be committed to Chinese language education and related work. Age requirements vary by program type, generally between 16-35 years old (up to 45 for current Chinese language teachers). Various HSK and HSKK test score requirements apply depending on the program level chosen.
