About This Opportunity

The International Doctoral Student Award (IDSA) is designed to encourage the recruitment and retention of outstanding international students into PhD programs across all Faculties at the University of Regina. Internationalization encourages, supports and promotes the integration of diverse worldviews into discovery through research and teaching. This award provides financial support to eligible international doctoral students who are fully-qualified and registered full-time in their programs. The award is automatically awarded to eligible students and does not require a separate application. Students receive $1,450 per semester directly to their University of Regina student account for a maximum of 12 terms (four years of their PhD program). Recipients must maintain a minimum 80% average, complete the Grad Thrive Plus GRST 801 course by the end of their first semester, and hold a valid study or work permit. The award is discontinued if students transition to permanent residency status.
