About this opportunity

The Swedish Research Council offers an International Postdoc grant aimed at newly qualified researchers with doctoral degrees from Swedish universities. The purpose is to provide postdoctoral researchers with opportunities to expand their network and competence through working abroad under secure employment conditions. The grant also aims to reward the quality and renewal of Swedish research. Applicants must have completed their doctorate at a Swedish university within the last 2 years or will complete it before the start of the grant period (by December 31, 2025). The grant covers 18-36 months of research abroad, with the requirement that at least two-thirds of the time is spent at the host institution abroad. The funding amounts to SEK 1,300,000 per year for salary, housing, and research costs, with an additional SEK 50,000 per year available for accompanying family members. Applicants must be employed by a Swedish institution during the entire grant period and will work at an approved international host institution.
