About this opportunity

The Swedish Research Council offers postdoctoral fellowships for recently graduated researchers with a PhD from a Swedish university. The grant aims to provide newly minted researchers with the opportunity to expand their network and competence by working abroad under secure employment conditions. The fellowship should also reward the quality and renewal of Swedish research. The funding supports 18-36 months of research abroad with a stipend of 1,300,000 SEK per year, plus an additional 50,000 SEK per year for accompanying family members. Recipients must be employed by a Swedish institution while conducting research at a foreign host institution for at least two-thirds of the grant period. The program emphasizes scientific quality, innovative research, and the development of independent research careers while contributing to the long-term strengthening of Swedish research capacity.
