About This Opportunity

This international postdoctoral grant within artistic research aims to provide early-career researchers who recently completed their PhD from a Swedish university the opportunity to expand their network and competence by working abroad under secure employment conditions. The grant also rewards the quality and renewal of Swedish research. The fellowship supports postdoctoral researchers in all artistic fields including architecture, visual arts, circus, dance and choreography, design, film, photography, crafts, curatorial practices, literature, music, opera, performance, theatre, and interdisciplinary artistic work. The funded researchers must be employed by a Swedish institution while conducting research abroad for at least two-thirds of the grant period. The grant provides 1,300,000 SEK per year for salary, housing during the stay abroad, and additional cost allowances. An additional 50,000 SEK per year can be requested for accompanying family members. The program emphasizes developing the researcher's independence, scientific merit, and international network within the artistic research field.
