About This Opportunity

The International Postdoc grant within Medicine and Health is designed to support newly graduated researchers with PhDs from Swedish universities to expand their networks and expertise by working abroad under secure employment conditions. The grant aims to reward the quality and renewal of Swedish research. This funding opportunity provides postdoctoral researchers with the opportunity to spend 18-36 months at a foreign host institution conducting research in the field of medicine and health. Recipients will remain employed by a Swedish administrating organization during their time abroad while being stationed at the international research institution. The grant covers salary, housing costs during the stay abroad, additional costs according to URA rules or equivalent expenses for the researcher and accompanying family members, and research-related costs up to 150,000 SEK per year. An additional allowance of 50,000 SEK per year is available for accompanying family members. This program emphasizes mobility, international collaboration, and the development of independent research lines while maintaining strong ties to Swedish research institutions.
