About this opportunity

The International Postdoc grant within Natural and Engineering Sciences is designed to provide newly graduated researchers with PhDs from Swedish universities the opportunity to expand their networks and competence by working abroad under secure employment conditions. The grant aims to reward the quality and renewal of Swedish research. The funding supports postdoctoral researchers to conduct research at foreign institutions for 18-36 months starting in January 2025. The grant provides 1,300,000 SEK per year for salary, housing during the stay abroad, and additional cost allowances according to URA rules or corresponding expenses for the researcher and accompanying family members. Up to 150,000 SEK per year may be used for research-related costs such as equipment, consumables, and publication costs. An additional 50,000 SEK per year can be requested for accompanying family members. Applicants must have completed their PhD at a Swedish university no more than 2 years before the application deadline, or will complete it by December 31, 2024. The researcher must be employed by a Swedish administrating organization throughout the grant period and be stationed abroad. At least two-thirds of the grant period must be spent at the foreign host institution.
