About this opportunity

The International Studio Residency in Sundsvall is offered in collaboration with Nevo Studios and is designed for professional music artists including musicians, composers, music producers, and conductors. The residency aims to support artistic development and expanded work and income opportunities for grant recipients. The selected artist can invite one international and up to two Swedish music artists to develop and deepen their art in the studio, facilitating international cultural exchange at a collegial level. The Swedish Arts Grants Committee covers costs for tax-free stipends, studio time, recording, accommodation, and travel to and from Sundsvall, while Nevo Studios contributes discounted costs for personnel, studio and technical resources, and their professional network. The residency lasts two work weeks including travel days and preparation, with access to the full studio and its equipment for 10 days, including 5 days with a technician. Recipients must submit a written report within one month after the residency concludes describing how the residency functioned and what it meant for their artistic work.
