About this opportunity
This grant supports professional artists in dance and circus (dancers, choreographers, circus artists, circus directors/choreographers) to create, develop and deepen international contacts. The grant covers two types of support: international exchanges and travel abroad, and international exchanges in Sweden. For travel abroad, the exchange can include guest performances, tours, residencies, work visits, workshops, or active participation in events. Artists can also apply for self-initiated trips for work or professional development purposes such as research, short courses, festival visits, conferences, or meetings with collaborators. The travel should promote artistic development or work opportunities. For exchanges in Sweden, artists can apply for grants to invite foreign artists for collaborations and exchanges, with core focus on the applicant's benefit from the collaboration. The grants primarily cover costs for travel and subsistence, and in some cases transportation and participation fees. Production costs, fees, or salaries are not covered. Grants are awarded four times per year on a rolling basis and can be awarded retroactively if the application is submitted before the exchange/trip takes place.
