Interreg Sverige–Norge

Interreg Sverige–Norge is an EU program that provides support for development projects in collaboration between Swedish and Norwegian partners in the border region. The program supports both public, private, and voluntary organizations. The program operates three types of projects: preparatory projects (forprosjekt), small-scale projects (småskalaprosjekt), and main projects (hovedprosjekt). Projects must demonstrate cross-border value through one of three criteria: using the border as a resource, utilizing complementary resources and skills, or reducing border barriers. The program covers four main priorities: a smarter border region (innovation and SME competitiveness), a greener border region (climate, environment, and circular economy), a more social border region (labor market, education, culture and tourism), and a stronger border region (local community development). Norwegian side projects can receive up to 50% support from the program, with additional co-financing available from Innlandet County.
