IPCC Scholarship Programme - Seventh Round

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has launched the seventh round of its scholarship awards to support research in climate-related fields. The programme was established with funds from the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize award to the IPCC and is further supported by generous contributions from the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and the Cuomo Foundation. Research proposals are encouraged from topics including living soils, biodiversity, regenerative viticulture, agroforestry, water management and terrestrial carbon cycle. The scholarship programme specifically supports students from developing countries and countries with economies in transition. Since the first awards in 2011, a total of 88 students have been supported through this programme. Each scholarship award provides funding for up to two years during the period 2023-2025.
