About this opportunity
The Ira R. and Frances Wood Scholarship Fund was created at The Pittsburgh Foundation to be used solely and exclusively for the granting of partial or full college or university undergraduate scholarships to persons in need of financial help to begin or continue their education at the college level. This renewable scholarship is available to graduating high school seniors from Highlands High School or Deer Lakes High School in Pennsylvania. The scholarship supports students planning to attend accredited vocational or technical trade schools, or 2- or 4-year colleges or universities. Preference is given to students who demonstrate dedication to community service and have financial need. Applicants must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0. The award amount varies and is renewable, helping students continue their undergraduate education beyond the first year.
